Waiting sucks, as the “True Blood” mantra goes, but fans won’t have to wait long.
Not much was revealed in the way of plot details, but HBO has announced that the show’s final 10-episode season will bow on Sunday, June 22 at 9pm.
According to the official press release, the highly-anticipated series debut of “The Leftovers” has been set for June 15 in the 10pm slot.
Also set for 10 episodes, “Leftovers” follows the survivors of The Rapture, featuring an all-star cast including Justin Theroux, Liv Tyler, Amy Brenneman, Christopher Eccleston, Chris Zylka, as well as Charlie and Max Carver (“Desperate Housewives,” “Teen Wolf”).
The hour-long drama was created by Damon Lindelof (“Lost”) and adapted from the novel by Tom Perrotta, who also penned “Little Children” and “Election.”
Teasers for both season are set to air on Sunday, April 4, just before the season premiere of “Game of Thrones.”
