If “fear is born,” Zoe Saldana is in for a rude awakening.
NBC has shared the first real footage from their “Rosemary’s Baby” miniseries with Zoe Saldana filling the role originally played by Mia Farrow in the iconic film adaptation, Zap2it reports.
It’s not much, but in the 15-second teaser, Rosemary is ecstatic when she and her husband, played by “Suits” star Patrick J. Adams, move to a new apartment and learn that they’re expecting their first child.
But not everything is as it seems, and Rosemary is right to be afraid. At one point, she gasps, “Oh, God, what is happening to me?”
Both the mini and the ‘60s film were adapted from the 1967 novel by Ira Levin, who also wrote “The Stepford Wives” and a “Rosemary’s Baby” sequel named “Son of Rosemary.”
Who knows: if the miniseries is a success, perhaps NBC will option the sequel.
“Rosemary’s Baby” is set to debut later year on NBC. Does it have the potential to live up to the original? Share your thoughts with us below!
