Nickelodeon could be saying goodbye to “Sam & Cat.”
Despite the fact that the comedy series, spun off from “iCarly” and “Victorious,” has been extremely successful, there seems to be some behind-the scenes drama brewing.
As the end looms on the 40-episode first season, Jennette McCurdy, who plays Sam, made some interesting comments about the network in regard to missing the Kids’ Choice Awards.
Saying it had nothing to do with racy photos of herself that recently leaked online, the actress wrote that she was put in “an uncomfortable, compromising, unfair situation… and I had to look out for me.”
McCurdy clarified on Twitter: “It has to do with how nickelodeon treated me. That’s all.”
According to Deadline, there are rumors of “discord on the set, with emotions running high and McCurdy and [her co-star Ariana] Grande sometimes showing up late.”
Grande became a pop star to be reckoned with her single “The Way” from her no. 1 album, “Yours Truly.”
While she took some heat for unfollowing her co-star on Twitter, sources tell Deadline that the actresses still have a good relationship.
