For “Harry Potter” superfans, while the books and movies have all been released, the Wizarding World continues to live on in their hearts.
Luckily, it will also continue to thrive on the big screen, now that J.K. Rowling’s “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” has been envisioned as a new trilogy.
“The New York Times” reports that Warner Bros. plans three “megamovies” based on the 2001 publication, centered on a “magizoologist” who goes by the name of Newt Scamander.
Sadly, Harry is unlikely to make an appearance in the trilogy, seeing as “Fantastic Beasts” is set roughly seven decades before he and his friends headed to Hogwarts.
Rowling herself is penning the script for the first film in the new franchise, and it seems likely that she will write the other two installments as well.
The prolific author has also written another thriller as Robert Galbraith, in spite of the fact that the penname that was revealed to the world against her wishes.
