Ice Cube is ready to head back to the Barbershop.
According to Deadline, the star is in talks to return for “Barbershop 3,” with plans to have Cedric the Entertainer and Queen Latifah – who starred in her own spinoff film, “Beauty Shop” – reprise their roles as well.
The first “Barbershop” in 2002 came as a surprise hit based on a $12 million, earning enough to spawn the 2004 sequel.
Since then, Cube has continued his busy movie career and most recently starred opposite Kevin Hart in “Ride Along,” with a sequel already in the works.
He’ll next hit the silver screen in “22 Jump Street,” once again playing the tough-as-nails Captain Dickson in the June release. This October, the rapper-turned-actor will also have a voice role in Guillermo Del Toro’s animated “The Book of Life.”
Should Cube make “Barbershop 3” or were two movies enough? Sound off on the proposed sequel in the comments!
