Pharrell might be feeling a little bitter about losing out to “Frozen” at the Oscars.

While “Let It Go” took home the Best Original Song win – and received a very unique introduction to Idina Menzel’s live performance – the musician seems to think “Happy” was more deserving.

“Well, trust me: when they read the results, my face was… frozen. But then I thought about it, and I just decided just to… let it go,” he said in an interview with “GQ.”

When pushed on his punny answer, Pharrell made it clear that it wasn’t really a joke.

“Is it going to be here for ten-years – that song from ‘Frozen’?” he asked, after the interviewer said “Happy” would have been “a more interesting choice.”

Regardless of the award show upset, Pharrell’s “Happy” has gotten more than a little praise. Even now, the song from “Despicable Me 2” sits atop the Billboard Hot 100.
