Deadline reports that USA will wrap up their popular series “White Collar” with a six-episode final run.
The series stars Matt Bomer as a criminal forced to work with the FBI to avoid a prison sentence. The sixth season will pick up after his character has been abducted during the events of the season 5 finale.
Bomer, a rising star in the film world, will next appear in HBO’s film adaptation of “The Normal Heart,” and he is rumored to be returning for the planned “Magic Mike” sequel.
The network will likely focus on drama development, since another long-running series, “Psych,” will end its run next week.
Aside from new comedy series “Sirens,” “Playing House” and “Benched,” the network did recently hand out a series pickup to an untitled drama about a man (“The Glades” actor Matt Passmore) who discovers that his wife is seeing a male escort.
