When Lamar Odom said that Khloe Kardashian would “always be his wife,” he wasn’t kidding.
Though the pair has formally separated, an insider tells E! News that Khloe “checks in with Lamar to see how he’s doing.”
Their communication is not romantic, though the reality star was unwilling to answer her mother as to whether she could see herself getting back together with the NBA star on the midseason finale of “Keeping Up with the Kardashians.”
As for Lamar’s side of the equation, he reportedly told “In Touch Weekly,” “I want to make it work with Khloe… I’m focusing on getting better.”
The star previously signed to a basketball team in Spain, but due to a back injury, he will return home to the States to recover.
In December, Odom reached a plea deal in his DUI case, agreeing to three years of probation, fines and a continuing with his one-year license suspension for refusing a sobriety test.
