As “Boy Meets World” devotees count down the days until Disney’s “Girl Meets World” reboot hits the airwaves, new evidence suggests that some of the original stars will be home for the holidays.
Danielle Fishel, who will reprise her role as Topanga fulltime on the Disney comedy, shared a photo of the reunion on Instagram, E! News reports.
“Happy to have these familiar faces on set with us this week!” she captioned the photo, which features holiday-themed decorations.
While Rider Strong had previously said that returning as his bad boy character Shawn was a possibility, it has now clearly become a reality.
Strong will return for a holiday episode, along with Cory’s (Ben Savage) parents, played by Betsey Randle and William Russ.
Also returning in other episodes will be William Daniels’ Mr. Feeny, who appears in the pilot, and Lee Norris (“One Tree Hill”), whose character Minkus disappeared early into the original show’s run.
Despite all the hype, “Girl Meets World” does not have a premiere date, though it will debut on Disney later this year.
