Two superheroes collided in Disneyland this week.
“The Amazing Spider-Man” star Andrew Garfield met up with viral star Miles “Batkid” Scott in Disneyland this week after their bit was cut from the Oscars.
TMZ reports that the duo hit the theme park in Anaheim and Garfield conducted a mini-Oscars ceremony in the boy’s hotel room.
A rep for the Academy told “Us Weekly” that the bit was scrapped at the last minute “due to the logistics of production.”
“Andrew Garfield understood that his segment had to be omitted, and he drove to Disneyland on Monday to spend time with 5-year-old Miles Scott (Batkid) and his family.
The information sheds light on earlier accusations that Garfield himself had asked for the segment to the cut after disagreements over the official script, which his reps deny (via TMZ).
