“Beasts of the Southern Wild” star Quvenzhane Wallis is ready to make you fall in love with her all over again in the new adaptation of “Annie.”
Per "TVGuide," the updated version sees Wallis taking on the title role, while Jamie Foxx plays an updated Daddy Warbucks – know known as Benjamin Stacks.
One thing that hasn’t changed is the villainous Miss Hannigan, this time played by the wonderful Cameron Diaz.
After Stacks saves the little girl’s life, he decides to take the little girl in as a political move. Of course, because she’s unbelievably charming, he can’t help but grow fond of the little girl.
The film wouldn’t be Annie without its most iconic numbers, including “It’s a Hard Knock Life” and “Tomorrow,” and the new preview delivers on both fronts.
Rose Byrne (“Bridesmaids,” “Damages”) wows by taking on another unique character as his adviser.
“Annie” will be released in theaters this Christmas. What do you think of the new take? Let us know in the comments!
