With “American Idol” on the downturn and “Rake” barely registering, FOX is shuffling its deck as it trucks the midseason.
The Greg Kinnear-starring legal drama will shift to Fridays at 8pm, leading into “Enlisted” and “Raising Hope,” according to “The Hollywood Reporter.”
With “Hell’s Kitchen” originally set to air in that slot, the Gordon Ramsay reality series will move to Mondays at 8 beginning on March 13, leading into the “Idol” results show at 9pm.
Once the results show is cut down to a hal-fhour, leading out Thursday nights at 9:30 will be “Surviving Jack,” a ‘90s-set comedy series starring Chris Meloni. “Jack” is set to bow on Thursday, March 27.
FOX has played musical chairs with its schedule this season, particularly on Friday nights. “Bones” had a brief run before being picked up for another season, while the comedies have already traded places in the 9pm hour.
“Idol” has its ratings fall even more in season 13, despite of the return of Jennifer Lopez on the panel, along with judges Keith Urban and Harry Connick Jr.
