Mark Wahlberg will soon have a new lady in his life, or at the very least, his “Ted” character will.

Wahlberg will be back for the sequel to the buddy comedy, in which his best friend is his childhood teddy bear, voiced by writer Seth MacFarlane.

One star who won’t be back for much of “Ted 2,” if at all, is Mila Kunis, who played his original love interest, according to Deadline.

Instead, Amanda Seyfried has signed on to play the female lead, though not else about her character is known.

Kunis could still appear in “a tiny role,” but nothing is set in stone. The change is said to have nothing to do with the actress herself, as she and Macfarlane are still working together on FOX’s “Family Guy.”

MacFarlane and Seyfried are already co-starring in his next film, a western comedy called “A Million Ways to Die in the West,” which costars Charlize Theron, Liam Neeson and Giovanni Ribisi.
