Though “Dancing with the Stars” often makes headlines for its castoffs, this latest one has nothing to do with the ballroom.
Over the weekend, Brooke Burke-Charvet confirmed that she had been let go from the ABC reality hit.
“[I] understand the need for change considering the position of the show at this juncture,” she told E! in a statement. “I’ve seen my fair share of shocking eliminations in the ballroom, but this one takes the cake.”
According to “The Hollywood Reporter,” Erin Andrews will come on board as her replacement in the 18th season.
Andrews, who competed on the show in 2010, will reportedly still continue working at Fox Sports.
“DWTS” will return for season 18 on March 17, with casting underway for the new season.
