While Ant-Man might be pint-sized, the new Marvel movie is shaping up to be a very big deal.
Now that Paul Rudd has been confirmed for the title role in “Ant-Man,” the attention has shifted to his potential leading lady.
“Variety” reports that “Lost” and “The Hobbit” actress Evangeline Lilly is reportedly the top contender for the role, though the character’s name has not been announced.
Michael Douglas has also been cast as Hank Pym, and it’s possible that she will play his daughter.
The film, which will be helmed by Edgar Wright (“The World’s End”), is set to go into production in April for a July 2015 release.
“We knew early on that we had found the right person in Paul,” Marvel President Kevin Feige said of casting Rudd in a statement. “When he not only agreed to do it but became as enthusiastic as any actor we’d ever met with about doing the work, we knew we’d found the right guy.”
