George Zimmerman has signed up for a celebrity boxing match, and he reportedly already has his eye on an opponent.
TMZ reports that Zimmerman’s first choice is Kanye West because of the rapper's past altercations with “defenseless people.”
Zimmerman, who was acquitted in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin, told Radar Online that the Pay Per View celebrity boxing match, set for March 1, was his idea, because he has a history with boxing.
“Boxing isn’t new to me. It’s something I picked up well before the incident and it’s something that I like, I enjoyed, and I kept up with it and was able to lose a tremendous amount of weight and get a healthy lifestyle,” he told Radar.
The incident in question would seem to be West’s recent legal entanglement over an alleged assault of a man in a chiropractic waiting room.
West drove down to the office after the 18-year-old man reportedly shouted a racial slur at his fiancé, Kim Kardashian.
The musician paid a tidy settlement to keep the young man from pressing charges, and a few days ago, it was reported that the district attorney would not press charges either.
