Here we go again!
In what is sure to be the latest piece of controversial casting for the upcoming Batman vs. Superman film, Jesse Eisenberg has won the coveted role of the villainous Lex Luthor.
Not only that, but Jeremy Irons will play Bruce Wayne’s (Ben Affleck) butler, Alfred, in the movie, according to “The Hollywood Reporter.”
“[Lex] a complicated and sophisticated character whose intellect, wealth and prominence position him as one of the few mortals able to challenge the incredible might of Superman,” writer-director Zack Snyder said (via “THR”). “Having Jesse in the role allows us to explore that interesting dynamic, and also take the character in some new and unexpected directions.”
There's no word on whether Eisenberg will shave his head for the role, but Snyder added that he was honored “to have such an amazingly seasoned and gifted actor as Jeremy” in the role of Alfred.
The film, which has yet to receive a formal title, will bow on May 6, 2016. Do you think Jesse Eisenberg has it in him to play Lex Luthor? Weigh in below!
