Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan have reunited, and it feels so good.
Ryan is making her directorial debut with “Ithaca,” and her good friend is going to produce, according to the “A.V. Club.”
“Ithica” is described as a WWII-set film about a 14-year-old “who longs to become the best telegraph messenger the world of bicycling has ever seen.
Ryan will star in the film, along with Melanie Griffith and her own son, Jack Quaid. Though Hanks is not attached to star in the project, here’s hoping that he can at least make a cameo.
The duo have starred opposite one another on several occasions, for better (“You’ve Got Mail”) and for worse (“Joe vs. The Volcano”).
Either way, this is the first step toward a new Meg-and-Tom adventure, so count us in.
