2014 is an important year for Lea Michele. Her solo debut, “Louder,” is due out later this year, and in the fall, she’ll begin production on the sixth and final season of “Glee.”
But with all the changes that are bound to come, she’s not ready to start dating so soon after the death of her boyfriend and co-star, Cory Monteith.
In a new interview with her best friend, "Looking" star Jonathan Groff, for “Teen Vogue” (via “People”), Michele explained that she’s staying busy with work for the time being.
“I’m focusing on my job and taking care of myself,” she said. “Maybe in a little while I’ll be like, ‘What do I want?’ But I’m not quite there yet.”
The actress added that Monteith had always told her that she could do anything.
My relationship with Cory made me feel like I could reach for the stars and more,” she said. “So I was like, ‘I’m going to challenge myself and do this record now.’ It’s obviously pop, but I think I sshows me off as a singer.”
Lea Michele’s “Louder” is set to debut on March 4. Check out teenvogue.com for more of her interview.
