Some award shows can seem a bit stuffy and old-school at times, but not the Emmys!
The producers behind the show are showing their progressive attitude by announcing that the 2014 Emmy Awards are on the move.
The show will now move to a Monday night – in August! According to “Entertainment Weekly,” the 66th Emmys will air on Monday, August 25 live in Los Angeles.
An NBC rep suggested that the shift to Mondays was made to accommodate “Sunday Night Football.”
As for August, this isn’t the first time, as the ceremony was set in August twice in the past ten years. The show’s host has not yet been announced, with Neil Patrick Harris reprising his role at the most recent Emmys last fall.
Meanwhile, the winter awards season wages on, with the WGAs, the BAFTAs and the Academy Awards all set within the next month or so.
