Like many young adult adaptations before it, “The Fault in Our Stars” has faced its fair of controversy share along the way.

The teen cancer drama, based on the John Green bestseller of the same name, was criticized at the casting stage and again after the poster was released with a tagline that read, “One Sick Love Story.”

Now all of that is being put to the test, as the first trailer for “TFIOS” was released this week (via “Entertainment Weekly”).

After Shailene Woodley’s Hazel meets Augustus (Ansel Elgort) in a cancer support group for teens, the pair soon begins to fall in love.

Laura Dern (“Enlightened”) and “True Blood” actor Sam Trammell also star as Hazel’s parents, along with a supporting cast that features Willem Dafoe, Nat Wolff and Mike Birbiglia.

“TFIOS” is due out in theaters this June. Is the trailer for “The Fault in Our Stars” everything you thought it would be? Weigh in below!
