George Lopez is making his triumphant return to series this March on FX’s “Saint George.”
According to The Futon Critic, the multi-camera comedy stars Lopez as “a recently divorced working class Mexican-American turned successful entrepreneur caught between two cultures.”
The series, which will bow with ten episodes beginning Thursday, March 6, also stars Diana Maria Riva (“The Bridge”), David Zayas (“Dexter”) and “Machete” star Danny Trejo, among others.
The show is part of their ongoing 10/90 model. Like Charlie Sheen’s “Anger Management,” if the comedy does well enough in its first 10 episodes, 90 more are automatically ordered.
The actor-comedian previously starred on six seasons of his hit comedy, “George Lopez,” which ended in 2007.
Since then, he briefly hosted a late-night talk show on TBS and has focused on animated film work in projects like the “Rio” and “The Smurfs” franchises.
