Fresh off her wild Grammy appearance, Queen Latifah has signed on appear during TV’s next main event.
Latifah has agreed to sing “America the Beautiful” at Super Bowl XLVIII, according to an official press release.
The Super Bowl is set to air on Fox this Sunday at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
The Jersey native will take center stage before kickoff to sing the classic anthem, which was sung last year by Jennifer Hudson.
The multi-hyphenate appeared on Sunday night’s Grammy telecast, officiating the weddings of 33 couples –gay and straight – during the show, which garnered more than 28 million viewers.
The halftime show will be performed by Bruno Mars this year, along with a few special guests to be sure.
