Showtime is the latest network to announce their spring schedule this week.
At the Television Critics Association winter press tour, the network announced the returns of two of its longest-running comedies.
Season 6 of “Nurse Jackie” and the final season of “Californication” will debut on the pay cable channel on April 13, TVLine reports.
The new Showtime drama “Penny Dreadful,” which features Dracula, Dr. Frankenstein, Dorian Gray and more literary figures, will premiere on May 11.
With “Californication” and “Dexter” on the way out, two pilots have been given series orders to fill the gap.
“The Affair,” a drama that stars Joshua Jackson, Maura Tierney, Dominic West and Ruth Wilson, centers on the consequences of an affair.
A comedy called “Happyish,” starring Philip Seymour Hoffman, will follow a man and his wife (Kathryn Hahn) in a “darkly comic examination of what it means to matter. Or matter not.”
