At least there’s a bit of a silver lining for the newly-split Hilary Duff, as she has just been cast in TV Land’s “Younger” pilot.
Deadline reports that the singer-actress has signed on to join the single-camera comedy, which stars Sutton Foster of ABC Family’s dearly-departed “Bunheads.”
The potential series, from “Sex And the City” creator Darren Star, would follow Liza (Foster), a woman in her 40s who decides to reinvent herself after her husband leaves.
With her child off to college, she passes herself off as a 29-year-old woman, where she meets Kelsey (Duff).
Kelsey is a “smart, ambitious 20-something who welcomes Liza to the publishing firm, treats her as a contemporary and makes a concerted effort to integrate her into her social life, having no idea that Liza is a decade older.”
Duff and her ex-NHL player husband, Mike Comrie, announced their separation last week. They said they would remain friends and will co-parent their son, Luca, together.
