Just last year, “A Haunted House” became a smash hit.
Now Marlon Wayans is back in this year’s sequel, “A Haunted House 2,” which will again send up the “Paranormal Activity” series and more found-footage horror flicks.
The film, which stars Jaime Pressly (“My Name Is Earl”), Gabriel Iglesias, Ashley Rickards ("Awkward") and Cedric the Enterainer, spoofs exorcisms and features a great deal of human-on-animal crime, including an extended fight with a chicken.
The theatrical trailer for the project has been released (via Deadline), with co-writer Wayans moving into another haunted home with his girlfriend (Pressly) and her kids.
Spoiler alert: Essence Watkins also reprises her role as the dearly-departed Kisha from the first “A Haunted House.”
On just a $2.5 million budget, the original grossed more than $40 million in the U.S. alone.
“A Haunted House 2” will hit theaters on March 28. What did you think of the trailer? Let us know in the comments!
