Though “24” fans can get excited for the show’s return in its new miniseries format, that might not be all that’s coming down the pipeline.
During FOX’s Television Critics Association panel this week, the show’s star, Kiefer Sutherland, says the long-delayed “24” film adaptation could still happen, according to “The Hollywood Reporter.”
“If this ends up rebooting the show and causes a film to be made, so be it,” Sutherland said.
Either way, “24: Live Another Day” will bow on May 5 with a 2-hour premiere. The new season will consist of 12 episodes, with many of the original castmates returning, including Mary Lynn Rajskub as Chloe.
While it might still be a longshot, the revival of the show is pretty surprising to begin with, following in a recent line of shows to come back in another form after long absences, including “Arrested Development” and “Veronica Mars.”
