Following Ke$ha’s announcement that she was in treatment for an eating disorder, her mother started a war of words with record producer Dr. Luke.
Now Pebe Sebert has released a statement to “People” stating that she has decided to enter treatment and will in fact be joining her daughter at the same rehab center.
“I’m checking myself into Timberline Knolls today for post-traumatic stress disorder, at Ke$ha’s urging,” she said. “This whole Dr. Luke thing has almost torn our family apart and taken over my life, and Ke$ha wants me to heal along with her.”
After Ke$ha entered rehab, her mother spoke to “People” and claimed that Dr. Luke’s harsh words, along with those of the pop star’s advisors, contributed to her eating disorder.
In the interview, Sebert explained that he had allegedly “told a friend of ours he thought she looked like a refrigerator on her latest video, and could she please try to control her weight.”
A rep for Dr. Luke has denied the allegations as “completely false” and offered Ke$ha the “utmost support and well wishes for a quick return to health.”
