It’s no secret that Loki is a fan-favorite character in the Marvel film world.

After toying with his family in two “Thor” films and a whole gang of superheroes in “The Avengers,” Loki (Tom Hiddleston) might be striking out on his own.

The “Thor: The Dark World” DVD, which is due out next month, will include a new Marvel: One-Shot titled “All Hail the King,” MTV News reports.

Other details on the short are scarce, but this could be the first step on the road to a Loki-starring feature.

Per MTV, a petition for such a film holds more than 50,000 signatures on change.org.

Earlier this summer, Hiddleston confirmed that his character would not return for “Avengers: Age of Ultron” in 2015.

Instead, the flick will feature a new villain played by James Spader, while Aaron Taylor-Johnson (“Godzilla”) and Elizabeth Olsen have joined as new heroes, Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch, respectively.
