Jon Hamm has already tackled the world of advertising in AMC’s critically-lauded “Mad Men.”

For his next project, Disney’s “Million Dollar Arm,” he’ll take on the arena of Major League Baseball, and it won’t be quite as easy for him.

According to Vulture, Hamm stars as a real-life sports agent J.B. Bernstein who “hatched a scheme to create a reality show in India in the hopes of finding a heretofore untapped pool of talented baseball players.”

Bernstein fosters a group of young prospective players, but he faces resistance both within and outside of the MLB community.

Of course, he’ll also have to learn that behind the talent, the boys whose talent he hopes to foster are just that – boys who have left all they’ve known behind.

Hamm’s character will also possibly find love with a lovely woman (Lake Bell) who lives in his neighborhood.

“Million Dollar Arm,” which is due out next spring, also stars “Daily Show” alum Aasif Mandvi, Bill Paxton and Alan Arkin.
