Mixing business and pleasure can be hard on a couple, but who knew it could get so competitive?
Not long after Kanye West released the much-discussed music video for “Bound 2,” which co-starred his fiancé, Kim Kardashian, Katy Perry and John Mayer released a video of their own, MTV reports.
Following in Kanye’s footsteps, the pair stopped by “Ellen” to discuss their duet, “Who You Love,” and Katy took the opportunity to stir things up.
When asked by host Ellen DeGeneres if the video was a response to “Bound 2,” Perry shot back, “I thought our response was a little more authentic because my hair was blowing in the right direction though.”
As a point of reference, Katy and John shot their video two weeks, in which they and other real-life couples rode a mechanical bull, while "Bound 2" features Kimye straddling a motorcycle.
The couple also talked about their plans for Christmas presents, and Katy dished on whether her boyfriend is romantic.
