Kanye West
is the latest star in hot water for comparing his work to that of a war hero.

The outspoken rapper courted controversy during a recent radio interview, during which he talked about his dangerous stage stunts.

“I’m just giving of my body on the stage and putting my life at risk, literally,” he said (via “NY Daily News”).

West specifically mentioned an unstable “moving mountain” on which he stands while he performs two of his songs, noting that it reminds him of his fiance, Kim Kardashian, and daughter, North West.

“That mountain goes really, really high,” he said. “And if I slipped. You never know. And I think about it. I think about my family and I’m like, ‘Wow, this is like being a police officer or something, in war or something.”

In another interview, West also responded to criticism about referring to himself as a “creative genius.”

“When I say ‘creative genius’ it’s not a compliment to myself, it’s a plague,” he said. “To be able to have all these ideas and not get them out. That’s painful.”
