Britney Spears is kicking off her Las Vegas residency with her first “Piece of Me” shows this week, and the singer says once her contract is up, she might leave music behind altogether.
The singer, who released her eighth studio album, “Britney Jean,” this week, tells Extra that she might retire after her two-year Vegas stint is over.
“I might, who knows…” she said (via Extra). “I may have two more kids and get married… I’d like to have more kids.”
Spears also said that “Piece of Me” is easily her hardest and most fun show yet.
“It’s like ten [times] more dancing and it’s more aspects of, like, more props and more gags – we use that to bring it more to life, make it really exciting.”
Though Billboard expects Spears’s new album to take the top spot in its first week, it wouldn’t be a total victory.
While they estimate that “Britney Jean” will sell between 115,000 and 120,000 copies this week, her pop star contemporaries Katy Perry, Lady Gaga and Miley Cyrus each sold more than 250,000 copies of their records in their first week.
