Since Paul Walker’s death over the weekend, there has been an outpouring of support from the star’s friends, family and fans.
The latest move is a tribute video posted on the official “Fast and Furious” Facebook page entitled “In Loving Memory.”
The video is a compilation of Walker’s work throughout the first six films in the franchise as Brian O’Conner, from racing to meeting the group to falling in love with Jordana Brewster’s Mia.
Yet while seventh movie was expected to resume earlier filming this week, according to E! News, production has been placed on hold indefinitely.
“Right now, all of us at Universal are dedicated to providing support to Paul’s immediate family and our extended ‘Fast & Furious’ family of cast, crew and filmmakers,” a statement reads (via E!). “At this time we feel it is our responsibility to shut down production on ‘Fast & Furious 7’ for a period of time so we can assess all options available to move forward with the franchise.”
The studio’s statement promises to keep fans informed on “Fast 7,” which was originally expected to debut next summer.
