After heading to the ‘60s with “Mad Men” and the 1800s with “Hell on Wheels,” AMC is headed back in time with their latest prestige drama.
This time, however, the network is hitting the 1778 for a Revolutionary War drama titled “Turn.”
According to “Entertainment Weekly,” the series, which will debut in 2014, aired its first trailer after the midseason finale of “The Walking Dead.”
The 30-second teaser shows off series star Jamie Bell in the drama, which is based on “Washington’s Spies: The Story of America’s First Spy Ring.”
The series also stars JJ Feild (“Austenland”), Kevin McNally (Gibbs in the “Pirates of the Carbibbean” franchise) and “The Dark Night Rises” star Burn Gorman.
“Turn” joins another new drama on AMC’s roster, an ‘80s-set computer-industry drama entitled “Halt and Catch Fire,” which co-stars “The Hobbit” franchise actor Lee Pace and Kerry Bishe (“Scrubs”).
