Mia Wasikowska and “Girls” star Adam Driver are headed to the Australian desert in the trailer for their new drama “Tracks.”
The movie is based on Robyn Davidson’s memoir of the same name, which follows Wasikowska’s Robyn as she makes a “1,700 mile trek across the deserts of West Australia with her four camels and faithful dog.”
Along the way, the “Alice in Wonderland” actress encounters Driver, who plays a National Geographic photographer who follows her journey.
Robyn encounters a great deal of wildlife on her way across the desert, with a snake crawling across her neck at one point.
Her trek, which was thought to be impossible, becomes a spiritual walkabout that “will change her life forever.”
The project was directed by John Curran (“The Killer Inside Me”) and produced by the team behind the Oscar-winning “The King’s Speech.”
“Tracks” will debut in theaters in 2014. What did you think of the trailer? Sound off in the comments section below!
