Russell Crowe is no stranger to movies set in the distant past, having starred in “Gladiator” and “Master and Commander.”
For his next role, the Aussie actor is going back in time to play the Biblical character of Noah in a new drama film.
“Noah” stars Crowe as he prepares to build an arc before the flood that is destined to wipe out all of Earth’s population, aside from Noah, his family and a pair of every species of animal.
Jennifer Connelly will play his wife, with Emma Watson as his daughter, Ila, as well as Douglas Booth and her “Perks of Being a Wallflower” co-star Logan Lerman as his sons, Shem and Ham.
Anthony Hopkins is also appears as Methuselah in the trailer for the film, which was helmed by “Black Swan” director Darren Aronfsky.
