With “X-Men: Days of Future Past” set for release in 2014 and a newly-announced “Wolverine” sequel in the works, Hugh Jackman’s days of playing a mutant are certainly not in the past.

The “Les Miserables” star is on board for a third standalone film starring his adamantium-infused superhero, according to “Deadline.”

Plans for the third Wolverine flick, which follows 2009’s “X-Men Origins: Wolverine” and this year’s “The Wolverine,” are being kept under wraps for now.

Though “The Wolverine” received mixed reviews, the film’s success overseas made it the second-highest grossing film in the “X-Men” franchise.

Jackman’s iconic character will return in “Days,” where he and some of his fellow X-Men must join forces with the “X-Men: First Class” team in order to save the world.
