Though Orlando Bloom is in the middle of a press tour for his role in Broadway’s “Romeo and Juliet,” the conversation seems to always revert back to a discussion of his split from model Miranda Kerr.
Bloom appeared on Katie Couric’s talk show Friday, and while the host couldn’t help but bring up their separation, he had nothing but kind words for his wife.
“We love each other,” he said (via “Us Weekly”). “We’re a family. We’re going to be in each other’s lives for the rest of our lives. There’s no question that, you know, for the sake of our son and everything else, we’re going to support one another and love each other as parents to Flynn.”
Bloom added that “life sometimes doesn’t work out exactly as we plan or hope for,” but he says the pair still love and care for one another.
The “Pirates of the Caribbean” star appeared on “The Colbert Report” earlier this week, where Stephen Colbert chose to acknowledge the “elephant in the room” while not grilling Bloom about the breakup.
“All I’m going to say is there are a lot of fish in the sea. You’re a good looking guy,” Colbert said.
