Jennifer Love Hewitt is tearing up her “Client List.”
The actress’s Lifetime series has been cancelled after two seasons, Deadline reports.
Though the series continued to garner decent ratings for the cable network, “Lifetime and Sony TV were in a standoff with Hewitt over storylines for a potential third season.”
Rumor has it that the star was upset that the showrunners wanted her character to get back together with her husband (Colin Egglesfield), instead of starting a relationship with her brother, played by real-life fiancé Brian Hallisay.
The couple is expecting their first child, and the pregnant star wanted Hallisay’s character to also play the father of her child in the potential third season.
The network still has a fairly full slate of scripted programming, including “Witches of East End” and the recently-renewed “Drop Dead Diva” and “Devious Maids.”
