“Baby, you’re on the brink” of the premiere of NBC’s live adaptation of “The Sound of Music.”
With just over a month until Carrie Underwood takes the stage as Maria von Trapp, the network has unveiled the first preview of the production.
The brief promo shows off little of the production, spotlighting Underwood’s starring role in the production and telling fans to tune in to “watch it live as it happens.”
Aside from the country star, the stage adaptation will feature “True Blood” actor Stephen Moyer, as well as familiar NBC faces Laura Benanti (“Go On”), Christian Borle (“Smash”) and Audra McDonald (“Private Practice”).
As previously reported, the soundtrack album for the cast’s “Sound of Music” will be released on December 3 ahead of the three-hour live show on December 5.
