It’s a good day to be Jane Bingum.

After the surprise cancellation and revival of “Drop Dead Diva,” Lifetime has opted to renew the legal dramedy for a sixth season consisting of 13 episodes.

According to “Entertainment Weekly,” the show’s fifth season finale on November 3 will feature “a surprise visitor from Jane’s past who puts her relationship with Grayson on the line.”

While Netflix’s “House of Cards” is not expected to return with season 2 until 2014, the company is still looking to the future.

Despite a recent statement from one of the show’s producers claiming that Kevin Spacey and Robin Wright’s film careers would likely keep the series from going beyond season 2, a third season might be "in the cards" after all.

“Our intent is that the show keep going for sure,” Netflix’s chief content officer Ted Sarandos recently said (via “Deadline”). “It was a 26-episode commitment. It was not our intent that it just run for two seasons.”

Sarandos later told Deadline that talks for a third season “are in progress right now.”
