MTV has hired “Mean Girls” actor Jonathan Bennett to host its new afternoon karaoke series “Copycat.”
According to “The Hollywood Reporter,” the network has yet to nail down a premiere date for the upcoming singing competition, which “features singers battling it out on stage in a bid to sound like their favorite recording artists.”
In the end, the audience gets to vote, with the winners taking home a cash prize “and the title of the ‘Ultimate Copycat.’”
Since playing heartthrob Aaron Samuels in the cult teen comedy opposite Lindsay Lohan, Bennett starred in “Cheaper by the Dozen 2” and recurred as himself on “Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List.”
Most recently, the actor reunited with his “Mean Girls” co-star Lacey Chabert in an independent comedy called “Slightly Single in L.A.”
