This December, NBC’s primetime schedule is going to be “pitch perfect.”
The network has revived “The Sing-Off” for a fourth season, set to premiere on December 9 with a two-hour premiere.
“The Sing-Off” feature a cappella groups competing against one other for $100,000 without “lip-synching, back-up bands or safety net.”
Nick Lachey is on board to return as host, with Ben Folds and Shawn Stockman back on the panel and Jewel will replace the outgoing Sara Bareilles as the show’s third judge.
The new season will run for seven episodes, ending with a two-hour finale on December 23, according to the official press release.
“The Sing-Off” began as a five-night event series four years ago before scoring a fall premiere two years later.
After sinking ratings in 2011, the show was not picked up until the surprise success of “Pitch Perfect” last year renewed interest in the world of a cappella.
“The Sing-Off” returns on Monday, December 9 at 9pm. Do you plan to watch the show this winter?
