It seems “Lucky 7” wasn’t so lucky after all.
The freshman drama has been pulled after two low-rated airings during ABC’s brand new Tuesday night primetime lineup.
Though its Tuesday drama counterpart “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” garnered the highest-rated debut for any new drama in four years, “Lucky 7” scored the “lowest rating ever for a drama original on the Big 4 broadcast networks outside of Friday or Saturday,” per Deadline.
“Lucky 7” was based on a U.K. series, “The Syndicate,” and starred Matt Long (“Private Practice”), Christine Evangelista, Anastasia Phillips, Isiah Whitlock, Jr. (“The Wire”) and Summer Bishil.
In its place, ABC will airs repeats of its Thursday night drama “Scandal,” which debuted to its all-time highest ratings on October 3.
The series marks the first show of the 2013-2014 TV season to fall victim to the cancellation axe, but it certainly won’t be the last.
