FOX wants to be in the Ichabod Crane business for a long time.
The network has ordered a second season of their high-rated freshman drama “Sleepy Hollow” after only three episodes, according to TVLine.
After the remaining ten episodes of season one, the series, which stars Tom Mison, Nicole Beharie, Orlando Jones and Katia Winter, will return next fall for another 13 episodes.
FOX has opted to move forward with plans to emphasize more “event series,” meaning shows that will air shorter, cable-like season.
In January, the show will make room for the sophomore season of “The Following,” the Kevin Bacon-starring horror series that is returning for a similar limited run.
Based on Washington Irving’s iconic “Legend of Sleepy Hollow,” the FOX series follows Ichabod after he wakes up in the present day and must join forces with a police officer in a seven-year quest to stop the Headless Horseman, who is but one of the four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.
