Sarah Michelle Gellar
is heading from the Whedonverse to the Twitterverse.

The star formerly known as “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” joined Twitter this week, likely to support her new show, CBS’s “The Crazy Ones” with Robin Williams.

In doing so, she set off a chain reaction of comments from her co-stars on the cult WB series, which was created by “The Avengers” writer-director Joss Whedon.

Ahead of her Tuesday night appearance on the “Late Show with Craig Ferguson,” she released her first post from her brand new Twitter handle @RealSMG.

“Why is sending this first tweet scarier than going on the @LateShow?” she joked (via Perez Hilton).

Soon, “Buffy” and “Angel” star David Boreanez (Angel) sent their well-wishes to his pal, along with Eliza Dushku (Faith) and Emma Caulfield (Anya).

Gellar released her second and most recent tweet to date on Wednesday morning, issuing a heartfelt message of gratitude to all the show’s fans:
