The fall TV season has only just begun, and more new shows keep flooding in.
Take HBO’s upcoming comedy “Getting On,” which flew under the radar after receiving a series pickup and is only beginning to gear up for its premiere in late fall.
The six-episode first season, which mixes comedy and drama, takes place “in the women’s geriatric wing of a run-down hospital,” according to Vulture.
“Getting On” stars great comic actresses like Laurie Metcalf (“Roseanne”), Niecy Nash (“Reno 911!”) and Alex Borstein (“Family Guy”) as the caretakers in the wing.
The show was adapted from a British series by “Big Love” collaborators Mark V. Olsen and Will Sheffer.
The first season will also feature appearances from “SNL” alum Molly Shannon, “Big Love” star Harry Dean Stanton and Daniel Stern (“Home Alone”).
HBO will premiere “Getting On” on Sunday, November 24 at 10pm. Will you be tuning in?
