The royal baby better get ready, because he’s about to make his public debut!
According to “Us Weekly,” Kate Middleton and Prince William have revealed details on Prince George’s upcoming christening.
“They Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are pleased to announce the christening of Prince George will take place on Wednesday, 23rd October at The Chapel Royal, St. James’s Palace,” reads a Kensington Palace statement.
One insider tells “Us” that instead of choosing Buckingham Palace, the Chapel Royal “offers the intimacy they had in mind.”
While this marks George’s first major appearance, only roughly 60 guests will be invited to the christening.
No godparents have yet been named, but “Us” notes that William and Prince Harry each had six godparents, so there’s a good chance Harry and Pippa Middleton will be two of several people chosen to be the baby’s godparents.
After the ceremony, William and Kate will serve their guests the top tier of their wedding cake, which has been frozen since the wedding in 2011.
