Ahead of the release of “The Dark Knight Trilogy: Ultimate Collector’s Edition,” Warner Bros. is going back to where it all began: Christian Bale’s audition.
The studio has released a new 90-second clip from Bale’s audition, in which he had a screen test opposite none other than Amy Adams, Zap2it reports.
Director Christopher Nolan shared his thoughts on his star, noting that “Christian’s voice was a large part of the impression he made on the test. He had decided that Batman needed to have a different voice than Bruce Wayne; that he needed to put on that voice.”
Though Adams obviously didn’t score the part in “Batman Begins,” with Katie Holmes and Maggie Gyllenhaal sharing the role of Rachel in the franchise, she will likely get to interact with Batman in the near future.
The actress played Lois Lane in “Man of Steel,” so there’s a good chance she’ll encounter Ben Affleck as the latest Caped Crusader in the as-yet-untitled Batman vs. Superman blockbuster.
